Dear ECHA members,
We welcome you to this Special Interest Group (SIG) on Teaching High Ability
Students (TeachHAS). This group is intended for teachers of highly able
students in special programs, teachers in the regular classroom, program
coordinators, researchers, and policy makers.
Subscribed members will find latest and important articles relating to teaching
highly able students in primary, secondary and higher education. There are also
resources in form of books and lessons, as well as short presentations at ECHA
conferences.
It is planned to host online lectures on teaching highly able students 3-4 times a
year followed by discussions. These will be announced in advance and a Zoom
link will be sent to members.
You are also invited to share materials in form of lesson plans that worked,
books and book chapters on teaching, and articles reporting relevant findings on
teaching highly able students.
You are invited to contribute to the TeachHAS SIG newsletter information
regarding development in teaching highly able students in your country.
The forum on our website will be available for discussions among members on
random topics related to teaching, as well as commenting on lectures/keynote
addresses, and suggesting topics for future presentations.
The ECHA thematic conference will focus on teaching highly able students and
will take place in Haifa, Israel in February 2023. You are invited to send
abstracts.
Looking forward to seeing you among the members of this group.
